Cobra Rear Bilsteins or LX shocks

Well, the time has come to replace my tried and true Sport shocks/SC spring combo. I'm so impressed with the front Sports that a new set is going back on, along with H&R springs. My question is: which rears to go with, now that they don't make the sport rears anymore. I'm also going to be running the Big Addco bars, along with a whole slew of chassis braces. Konis are not an option, I'm not paying $500 for a set of shocks.

If you do go for the Cobra shocks, get the softer valved convertible units.

Cam Wright (Skunkworks) has the same shock combo, with Eibach springs, in his car now, you may want to p.m. him for an opinion.

cheers,
Ed N.

Yeah, they are '97 shocks, but as you found out, they replaced the part number with the standard LX shock now.

Use Ford hardware number N800419-S301. That is a nice locking nut with a built-in washer, and they conveniently come in a package of 2. That's what I gave to Cam when he got the Cobra shocks from me.

cheers,
Ed N.
