very happy today...

just received front sport shocks and rear cobra convertible shocks today....
front ok......but when i see the rear shocks box it says made in german, i said wow....probably that's why the price of 70 bucks ++ each. but when i open the box i almost fainted!!! BILSTEIN!!! Dan is the man and he will quaranty that i'm his customers for life!!!

now for the bad news....just received mn12 poly rear shocks bushing and have a look, i can't use it for the bilstein.......

now quick question, the front sport shocks seems like the travel is not much, do i need to compress the eibach lowering spring before i can put the mount on???

My daily job is to fry rice for my customers....

It's been posted before that the Cobra shocks were Bilsteins many times, so what was the surprise?

AM 909 G is the correct number for Sport front shocks. That number has since been changed again. You will need to compress the front springs to install them on the shocks. You will also need the upper mounts from your original shocks to put together the assembly, or use new ones.

The 03 - 04 Cobras have factory installed Bilstein shocks, that's why people have been suggesting their use as a replacement ... they were less expensive to purchase from Ford as a replacement part, than the aftermarket Bilsteins intended for MN-12 cars.

cheers,
Ed N.

just got some grade 8 nuts for the front upper shocks that hold the mount and shocks together. just wonder is that grade 8 nuts suffice/stout/strong enough to hold the abuse or a grade 10.9 is a must?

i'm talking about the nuts in the middle top the big one.
