what shocks to use with lowering springs?

ok well its decided, im getting a set of lowering springs, i was thinking of running the bilsteins in the back, anybody have the part numbers for everythin so those will work in teh back, and secondly, what can i use in the front for a good replacement, not somethin too expensive, but good as stock or a little better?

I just put on Eibach's and Tokico blue's. I love the way they handle and feel in corners and over hills and bumps and such. Pretty decent price at $250 for all 4.

I'll second the opinion on Eibach's and Tokico Blues. I love the combo. My shocks are over 4 years/80,000 miles old, too.

97 LX, 4.6, Dynomax catback, Mustang MAF/intake tube and Aviator throttle body, Xcalibrator2 by Lonnie at BOC, 180 t-stat, Super Coupe wheels with 235/60/16's, Kenny Brown strut tower brace, Tokico Blues, Eibach Pro-kit, some strategically placed MN12 Performance polyurethane pieces, '02 Grand Marquis transmission

Submariners do it deeper...

The springs that I got were used so they were already settled. Between the springs and shocks, it dropped mine about 3" in the front and about 2-2½" in the back.

I'd say mine is close to 2" lower than stock now, and it has been 6 months since I installed the springs. I didn't measure before and after, but it is a definite difference, and it will catch the exhaust on speed bumps and garage lifts if I'm not careful. The stock size tires "fit" the wheelwells a lot better, IMHO. I just had some 235/60/16's installed last weekend, which are slightly taller than stock, and even look a little too big to me, but maybe I'm just being too critical.
The ride quality and handling are still great; they don't seem any different to me since I changed the springs. The Tokico Blues with stock LX springs seemed to firm things up if memory serves me correctly.
Overall, it's not uncomfortable, and I like it better than stock. I have a Fiero with polyurethane bushings everywhere, Suspension Techniques liinear rate springs (2' drop), and Monroe shocks, and it rides like a brick. Night and day difference from stock.

A good combo is Sport front and Cobra rear. I have the Sport fronts, but I got screwed on the Cobra shocks, so until I have an extra $60-70 laying around, I've got sport fronts paired with blown lx rears . They're affordable and pretty nice.

I ran eibach's as well, but , with carquest shocks and struts all the way around. Mine dropped a total of 3" all the way around.
