Talking Newbie Question concerning Mustang suspension

Hello everyone---I'm new here and have a few questions.

First off, I own a '97 LX that I'd like to do some suspension stuff to; mainly because I also own a '99 Mustang GT that I've done TONS of modifications to--and I have a bunch of leftover parts.

I changed the springs, shocks, and struts back when the Mustang had around 1000 miles on it, and I have all of the stuff boxed up. Can I use the Mustang parts on the T-bird without having any problems? What, (if anything) will happen to the handling, stance, and ride if I change to the Mustang stuff? I imagine the ride will be stiffer, but I really am not sure.

I'm also looking to add wheels/tires, (17" wheels, 245/45/17's) so please look at my post under the wheel forum.

Thank you for any assistance!!

As far as I know, the only Mustang suspension parts that will swap to the Bird are IRS Cobra rear shocks. Anything for a GT is useless for a Thunderbird.

Yeah, sounds like ur pretty much screwed for using any GT suspension parts on the bird. You could do a hubswap and use the stang wheels on the bird though.
