mechanical droaning sound

I have a mechanical droaning sound. It's not power steering, and I don't think it is the ball joints. I greased every fitting I could find. Pinions are my sneaking suspesions from similar problems on other cars, but I tried to find them on my lunch break and couldn't, but also didn't have much time to look.

Does the noise occur while moving the car is moving? does it change tone while cornering? does it change whith engine speed? while accelerating or decelerating ?

It occurs when the car is moving, or if i steer it while stationary. Noise is from the right side. It also makes the noise anytime the suspension shifts. I am now thinking lower ball joints. I don't notice the sound at highway speeds. It might be making the noise or there might be too much wind noise to hear it.
