Lower control arms?

I want to change my lower control arms. The chilton's said remove the wheel assembly. Do i have to remove the calipers and rotors or can i just leave them on?
I'am not a mechanic but will try anything first myself before goin to stealershops.

Cool

Changing a lower control arm on these cars isn't that difficult, but you do need to have some knowledge of how front ends (alignment, suspension) work, and work together. Go to your local Pep Boys and buy the Haynes Manual that is for the '89-'97 T'bird/Cougar, The books # is 36086. It is vehicle specific. Good luck

you can keep your rotors and calipers on, they'll be attached to spindle which is still attached to tie rod and upper control arm.
