Bone-stock '94 LX rides way too rough

My '94 LX is bone stock and rides like crap. Cracks and bumps in the road are brutal. My lowered 2000 Mustang GT rides nicer than my t-bird.

The shocks/struts have been replaced w/ stock replacements w/in the past couple years. I hoped that would help, but it made no difference that I could tell.

Are my springs just worn out? Should I replace them w/ new stock springs? They don't seem to be sagging, but they feel like they are translating all of impact directly to the chassis.

I don't want to do anything that would compromise the ride quality, like lowering the car dramatically. Stock-size wheels/tires. Improving handling would be *nice*, but ride quality is more important on my daily drive.
