What part is this? and is there supposed to be a bushing?

Just installed front stabalizer links and was checking my rear suspsension when I noticed something strange. Its the rusted thing on the right side, I cant figure out what it is called. And Is there supposed to be a bushing at the top of it?

You would be correct, a bushing is missing. That is teh rear stabalizer bar link, you can buy a rebuild kit or a full link but coonsidering the fact that your steel pieces may be damaged I would go for the full links.

Jame's
I also have a tapping under my car more sounds like
chains I had all new bushings put on but that didn't fix it
and the auto shop said they don't hear anything that's because they didn't
drive it .. It sounds like it's by my tire in the front driver side... you can really hear it when I hit a pot hole or somthing
what do you think it is???

If you had all the bushings replaced, assuming all mounting hardware is tight like it should be I would say it's probably a ball joint or the front sway bar link.

Mine was missing and I put in a rubber bushing from on old shock, worked great for free. Now I noticed that the other is falling apart.

LOL, I hate when my vehicals make wierd noises. My Ranger had a water pump that was going bad and it sounded like an old rock tumbler lol. Drove that way for like 3 weeks till I had the time to fix it.

Moog K8641. Depending on where you get them, they should run about $20.00 each
