Steering Noise

I have a 1995 TBird.
The problem is that it makes a shrill, metal on metal, squeeking sound on the drivers side only when turning or going over bumps.
Sometimes the noise stops if it sits for awhile.
I've been told it was a stuck passenger caliper.
Then I was told it was something else entirely.
I've been told alot of things by alot of people, only thing in common is suspension and it will cost alot to fix.

When I ask here I usually get alot more intelligent answers than from the dealerships.
Anything to help would be appreciated.

I am thinking...Lower Control Arm.

Even w/o seeing it, you guys could give me a better answer than these bozo's.

Thanks for your time.

Well...I was right. The wheel snapped off in the parking garage on the 2nd level.
It was pushed up into the bumper...hubcap to the front.
Now...I have to have over $1000 to fix everything that was damaged.
It was the day after my son was born...2 mnths early...
So now I have a massive hospital bill & repair bill....
Then being CHristmas time really hurts.

Thanks guys....for the info that was posted for me & others...
