solid irs mounting bushings

has anyone thought about doing solid bushings for the irs subfame? I was just looking at the solid aluminum bushings they make for the taurus sho's, what would the big deal be since the control arms and knuckles have rubber/poly bushings anyhow.
any and all thoughts and comments are welcome

I know it's been discussed, and I'm pretty sure some people have done it. I seem to recall one person saying it didn't affect NVH at all. And it removes one more compliant bushing from the system. Do it if you feel the need.

It's only funny until someone gets hurt.
Then it's freaking hilarious.
