Thunderbird/cougar rear end

A friend of mine has a thunderbird with the trac lok 8.8 rear, he totalled his bird and I'm wondering if I can swap in his entire rear (shocks, springs, everything) in place of my cougar's stocker, is it a direct swap or do I have to do some stuff?

Just swap the pumpkin'. unless his is a sport and yours isn't then the springs, shocks, and swaybar would be nice to swap as well but if it's not just swap the pumpkin.

Don't bother with the old springs and shocks. Grab the differential only and find a shop you like to rebuild it with 3.55's or 3.73's. Those things are getting hard to find.
