Front suspension making noise

Getting a lot of noise from the front suspension when it "flexes" over bumps or dips in the road.. shocks wore out? Anyone have an idea if this is an expensive fix?

Sold my Cougar . But I am in the market for another MN12 project!

There is a nice sticky at the top of this thread. Other than that you would need to give a little more info on the symptoms. I have a noise that I am pretty sure is the sway bar endlinks. I plan to replace them again and see. It only makes noise when it is an uneven bump like one side goes over a speed bump and the other does not. No noise if both sides go over the speed bump. This is just a for instance. I have had clunking from ball joints also. The front suspension on these cars needs a lot of care and feeding.
