Gen II Mark vs. MN12 Rack and Pinion

Does anyone have any first hand experience with swapping the racks between a Gen II FN10 and a (1994) MN12?

A1 Cardone (RockAuto) lists different part numbers…
ATSCO (AutoZone) lists different part numbers…

HOWEVER...

AC Delco (RockAuto) lists the same part numbers…
Fenco (AutoZone) lists the same part numbers…

I "think" they will interchange, but I was wondering if anyone has actually installed a MN12 rack in a Gen II FN10!

Inquiring minds want to know.

97 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC (Chip'd, 3.73 T/L... so far... )

Well, you've got one of each there in the yard and it's been a nice weekend in AL by your own admission.... get at it.

I'd like to know too....don't forget the pics

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Ya know what's funny- sometimes if you go buy a canueter valve or something for a Lincoln, the exact same part for a Ford with a different part # will cost less.

Just had to get that out

You mean like lower controls arms? The Mark ones are more expensive than the T'Bird ones by about half - and they're identical.

Hope everything in the yard is still shiny side up at your house Don after last night's weather.
