I am replacing one later in the week on my 95 T-Bird, have not done one before.
The manual says to lock the wheel straight on, but when you install the new one, is there only one way the shaft goes in the rack? Or do you just eye it up?
Also, can a brass fitting with hose barb be used in place of the factory fitting if it breaks? I have used the brass ones to replace the ends on the trans lines on an 88 T-Bird. You can get 90 deg brass fittings too.
