Fuel Injector Harness kits?

So... I'm sure this has come up before but I failed to find it in the forums.

I finally sourced replacement injectors for my 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII but when pulling them out of the donor car I snapped juuust about half of the quick connect ears getting them. Apparently that's kind of a thing on 25 year old plastic parts.

Will 'generic' style Bosch connectors fit correctly on these cars? It looks like they need a bit more clearance than OEM.

Ex.

MOTOALL Fuel Injector Connector EV1 OBD1 Plug Wire Harness

Official Motorcraft replacements can still be had (WPT372) but they're quite a bit more pricey to do a full set. ($14 vs $240)

They're cheaper, but IDK if you would ever get them back off without pulling the fuel rail.

To get that style off, you have to pull the metal clip up, and it will hit the fuel rail.

Longer isn't too much of a problem; I'd worry more about the overall size, and whether they'd clear the fuel rail.

I have a set of EV1 to EV6 adapters on a set, and they clear just fine.

Cool, no problem then. The rails have to come off to replace them anyhow. They aren't any longer than the Motorcraft ones, just a bit wider at the bottom. I'll post an update once I've gotten the injectors back from being refurbished.

Just curious; what did you pay to have a set refurbished, and what did they do?

I rebuilt all the ones I had last year, and it's not hard or expensive.

Did you get the new Blue/green orings, or just black?

$17/each and I don't know what flavor of rings will be returning, just that they will be cleaned and flow tested. I guess I could have sprayed carb cleaner in there and hoped for the best but this is my DD and the things are 25 years old. I tried to get OEM replacements first but NAPA says they no longer exist.

I've bought all my sets here; I bought parts online to refurb them.

I just wondered if my rebuilds were cost effective, lol.

I'm going to go with Yes.

I'm not sure I paid double that for the injectors, in some cases.

I made a rig to test flow and clean injectors; some did Not meet flow requirements before cleaning, lol.

Replacing the screens, orings, and flowing chemtool B12 thru them made all the difference.

The OG orings are not good with alcohol based fuel, BTW.
You want the new ones that are ok with it.

Well, after looking for my link to the fuel injection site I bought my shit from, I realize y'all are fucked.

All the sites I bought my stuff from are gone.
