Anyone near Dallas? A favor.

First off I feel a bit weird asking, but I guess the worst that can happen is nobody takes me up.

I've been searching my eyes dry for a set of Cobra Rs for our bolt pattern in 17x9 and haven't found any. But then a few weeks ago someone linked me to a set with tires for sale on Craigslist for $500. Exactly what I'm looking for and the price is right.

Obvious problem is the seller doesn't want to ship and it's against CL rules, but he is willing to let them go to someone else on my behalf who would be willing to ship them.

Beerdog80 responded to my first non-generalized request and is willing to pick them up and ship them to me, but he lives in OK and won't be coming down to TX for close to a month and I'm afraid the wheels will be gone before then.

The question is: Is there anyone who would be willing to pick up the wheels (he's near Plano) and ship them to me? Of course I'd toss in some $$ for your trouble as well as any applicable fees taken out by paypal in the transaction process.

Thanks Ron. We'll see what he says. I guess I owe you something too because seeing the Rs on your car made me want them for mine.

The good/amazing news is that the seller still has them.

EDIT: he's willing to grab and ship them for me. BIG thank you goes to sik97bird!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the R's on my car. It's about time for me to replace the back tires on mine.

They seem to wear out quicker than the fronts for some reason, I just can't figure out why

I'm going to upgrade from 275/40/18 to 285/40/18's.

I'm glad you guys could help each other out.

The lady who I bought these from had them on a T-bird for under a year 7 or 8 years ago, then had to sell the car. The wheels were removed prior to the sale and had been sitting in her garage since then. So unless you're referring to an event that happened almost ten years ago, I'd be inclined to say no.

I paid $500 for the wheels/tires; she lives in Murphy. As I said, she sold the bird nearly ten years ago.
