New Kid on the block

Well I'm really not a new 'kid' but am new to the TCCoA (am a member over at SCCoA). rbrown suggested I come over here and view the family affairs that go on.

Would love to meet up with fellow bird owners and get ideas - I have a 92 SC that is a work in progress to make it 'pretty' and a bit quicker than it is.
I'm in Humble and the name is Wade.
email is [email protected] I have others but this one I check on the most.

I have a hunert questions about what I want to do to my thunderchicken and being able to find a decent mechanic without traveling 200 miles- any help would be good!

I'm still here, so is the Alarm you wanted to help with. Thanks for letting me down back then. Post 23701 should refresh your memory. A simple FYI return call had done it.

It's a few miles north of Houston downtown. Old-school is good.

I don't know. MAIC gets his manties in a twist whenever the Houston thread is used for non-T-Bird tech stuff. But the rest of us don't care.

Here's a blast from the past. Anyone remember how long ago this pic was taken? I really don't:

I just tried SmashBurger a couple weeks ago and I really liked it. Good traditional old-fashioned american hamburger.

If I manage to finish my car this summer, I will do a tiny little meet somewhere.

What if I like Tobey and Maic?

Without Tobey I would have a basically bone stock 95 ThunderTURD. But since he let me drive his car all those years ago at the Strictly Performance Dyno day I was inspired to go for it and did the 5 speed swap and a slew of other mods. Rock on Tobey man!

and MAIC, I literally met Maic in the ghetto of third ward. Was heading down to UH to lay some pipe when I see a guy hanging out of a van yelling TCCOA!! Pulled in a side street and chatted birds for awhile. Then proceeded on to the UH dorms for some uh uh business lol

Smash is great. To bad you're way down south. Wouldn't mind to help.

Ha, that was funny. I always keep my eyes open for other Birds. I hear where you coming from, Preston was a great Person.
Anyway, I'm sure that Tobey has a lot of input to offer regarding the MN12, still, time to move on and stop cluttering up the forums with unrelated stuff. Thats all I'm questioning.
He got different interests and there are communities that care about it. Having old friend here is great, there are a lot of members who are still here and don't have a Bird anymore. But I can't recall any of them cluttering the local chapter with "non T-Bird stuff". We have a Misc forum and there are tons of Social network sites to share 'non' stuff.
Thats it, nothing personal.
Best link he ever posted was "_http://www.nsimorons.com/_".
Been on the ignore list, so be it. Fact is, if I go to any other "non T-Bird" site and post up my MN12 stuff, ill probably end up on the banned list. (it happened, I posted a flyer on an DE website for a Mustang crowd, stationed in Germany.
They invited any car or bike enthusiast in the area for a free BBQ, and to have their picture taking on Base aside a fighter jet. I GOT BANNED )
I met Tobey, all I'm asking for is just to 'move on' with the 'non' stuff. It's not like that a lot of chapter ppl (friends) applaud anyway.!

On a side note Jim' i think since this is a TCCoA community, anyone without a MN12 for over 6months shouldn't be Chapter Director ! I'm saying this since I hardly see Chapter Directors pushing for meets. Then, not having a MN12 to work on/fix, the desire to interact with ppl of our interest may fade more, in an already busy daily routine. But thats a different topic and admin related.
Don't you have a Mustang as well, and slack on the Bird?

Lets put up something in the H chapter and see if the homers can get over them selves and come out.

Again, for everyone in the area. If you are serious and need a set of helping hands on the weekend, say something. Its all about the Bird Bro' F the rest.

Eh. I'm mostly just yanking his chain. He always gets bent out of shape when I discuss my GTO or my road racing stories, since I no longer have a T-Bird. I'll probably un-ignore him one day when I'm in a good mood.

Way back in the day, your dad made suspension bracing for MN12s. I had the set on my car; it was good stuff.

It's only funny until someone gets hurt.

Hijacking and meeting

I see what you mean- didn't take long on the hijacking- but thats what boards do/are for I guess.

Meeting up- is a good thing, if I recall there is a hot rod meet on Saturdays in the 24 hr fitness parking lot on 1960 in the Atascocita area just east of Wally World, every now and then I pass thru to see whats kicking the streets- lately have been seeing a bunch of new 'stangs and although they look good I like the nostalgia of times gone by- and no I don't think a 92 SC is old- but its getting close. I have no kids, being a 57 yr old fart makes it easier on the trip. My bird runs, but have a few plans to make it run better and cooler, always like help/info/opinions, heck been looking for a garage or a shop that I can rent reasonably so I can spread out and do the work on off hours instead of in my garage (I get lazy at home).

I'll take your suggestion and post up in the Houston board to get some inspiration going.

So, some TX owner info was posted. If I may ask, what where your intentions for the update, just a simple update for your files? Planing something.?
Just curious, since you are our leader.

note: from the little bit i have seen, there are a lot more MN12 owners in TX, but even didn't border to post in here!
