CT Dragway

http://www.petitiononline.com/JayHass/petition.html

Apparently Mohegan Sun is trying to rebuild and open a Dragway

"To: CT Dragway
We the people of Connecticut and surrounding areas, humbly submit our electronic signature to acknowledge that we would support and use the CT Dragway facility on a regular basis for weeknight and weekend drag racing.

We FULLY support the Mohegan Sun Casino’s effort to bring the dragway back into existence, or any other entity that would make provisions to revive such facility.

Being that there is no other drag racing venue within a 2-hour drive from Hartford, CT the public outcry for a venue to race our vehicles is enormous. We implore you to consider our plea.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned"

The Connectucut Dragway was origionaly in Derby and closed in 1986. (1/4mi) The proposed track hosted by the casino has been rumored to be in or around Uncasville, but I also heard that they were in talks with the town of Plainville. Of course this has been going on for some time now.

Somebody told me that right now it's being used as a Consumer Reports Test Facility. (Consumer Reports actually owns the property)
