IDK were or when I'll be some place. It's one of the mysteries of my job. The last time I was near Tallahassee was in January when I was in Dothan, AL.

I'm a power plant inspector. Most of what I do is nuclear work. So, where ever in the country there is a power plant there's a possibility I could go there to work.

I used to install computer networks in banks and we did First National Bank of Homestead right after hurricane Andrew (that place was LEVELED). How did the nuclear plant hold up?

It's doing well. IDK how the unit faired through Andrew. That was a long time ago and I wasn't in the industry then.

That place is built like a brick sh!thouse - as are all nuke plants - and can withstand most anything nature can throw at it. There have also been a lot of system reviews and upgrades to systems and procedures since the disaster in Japan last year.

I can't go into detail, but rest assured the US nuke fleet is very safe.

That's great Mrs.t ! I know you've got to be happy to be back behind the wheel of your bird again.

I'll be starting nights soon, and I think I'll have Monday's off. I could head your way if you're free and would like to meet. If not, I won't impose. I know you guys are busy too.

It would be great to see Preston again and to finally meet you. How's The Great Obucina? You guys ever hear from him?

How long are you down this way? Next week is our spring break so not sure what's
happening...plus we're not really good with scheduling things ahead of time

Joe just bought a house a few minutes from us - I'm sure we'll see more of him now.
His bird with the DR transmission (ask the old-timers about Dennis - I'm not even
supposed to speak his name! lol) is still running strong.

I'm hearing that I'll be here about a month. I'm no good at planning things in advance either. You know how my schedule changes with the wind. We can just play it by ear and see how our schedules shape up in the next week or so. My contact info is in the MOD forum.

It is a long haul from here, but I will try to make it ...we are down to one car now, but I'll see what happens when I replace the soft connectors at the ends of the vac lines...I was in the area of the plant after Andrew...what a mess. KF4sign (Warren)
