Just got a new job with Great Bay Distributors and they want me to pass the CDL tests before I start....anyone have any hints, info or maybe a site to help study with....
I have to take the General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination Vehicle sections

Go to the DMV and get the book and read acouple of times. I passed all the tests in the 90's. Its not that hard. Good luck and be safe driver.

Think about every turn and set up for it. You'll eventually get to the point where it becomes second nature. For me the hardest part was backing up. Had enough practice in parking lots backing 53' into dock spaces. Some people have said that it's easier if you put your hands on the bottom of the steering wheels when you backup. If you wanted the trailer to go left you move your hands left (which turns the wheel right). I just stuck to the old fashion way. If you take your time you'll get it. Everyone expects trucks to be slow.
