Thanks to Al and Preston...

...Slowcat now has front brakes that aren't fubar and rear brakes that aren't drums

Yeah, I couldn't bear to take a pic of the dirty wheel...it's so nasty. Hopefully it will be better now without those damn Hawk pads in there....

That is precisely the excuse the Pontiac dealer gave me as for why the rear drum brakes squeek on my wife's car. "Thre are no hills in florida so the brakes can't set themselves properly"
