There are some that are worse than that.

I can't wait to see how that RSTB feels on the track, it feels awesome on the street.

Rear Shock Tower Brace. Instead of the rear tires skipping a few inches to the left on the 1-2 like they used to the car just torques to the left a little then squats back down and goes.

If I don't have to work on the 23rd, I'll be there. I should be getting my flip chip from Lonnie on Tuesday so hopefully I'll have that in by Sunday. I know I'll be running slow, but oh well it will be good to finally meet some TCCoA members.

I left work at 1:48, got home at 6:15. Took a friend home and usually takes about an hour to make that trip.

That's what you get for taking 440. lol

I went Airport Blvd -> 540 -> Crapital -> Back roads to co-workers house, Crapital all the way through Raleigh till I got onto 70, then darted off on the backroads to come home.

nah.. you had it lucky.. going up to 540 from deeper in Raleigh would probably have been suicide... Probably about the time I got onto 440 was when that 9-car pileup was going on where 440 passes over Atlantic Blvd... by the time I got to Capital.. the side going into Raleigh was practically empty.. it was either go downtown or 440.. Western was no better.. Millbrook was no better.. All of North Raleigh was flooded.. I didn't hit better road until I got a 2-3 miles away from Capital on Buffalo... surprisingly, New Hope Church road was actually moving pretty well where I crossed over it at. Once I got clear of most traffic (sometime after 10pm) it was just getting around the one-wheel wonders that were having trouble making it up hills.

I just dont want to ever do that again... everyone in the world was trying to get to Wake Forest.. Glad I have trac-lok though two wheels help in that kind of crap, usually.. if you know how to actually drive in it, that is.

I had 4. Aside from a couple idiots locking their brakes on 540 and two very slow very sharp turns that apparently no-one else had tried yet (wasn't even any tracks in the snow) I never lost traction. The two sharp turns I just idled around, giving myself way more room than I needed and turned *into* the short slide.

If I was driving the Bird I would have slept at work.

It's a little better with the brace, but I haven't really wanted to try a hard turning launch on wet pavement since putting it in. heh.

I dont have a good way to compare mine.. I don't usually drive *that* hard :P It does feel stiff with the brace though.

The bird actually did pretty well once I figured out how I needed to drive it to keep traction. Traclok, 3.55s, and mark8.. had no problems leaving it in 2nd and walking all over the hills. The brakes were the biggest problem... the fronts were stopping the car before it could stop the rear wheels == little bit of slide.. 2nd gear help eliminate that.. sometimes I just had to nuetral it to stop. All in all, I was impressed.

NEWS : January 20th, 2005

SEASON OPENING TEST & TUNE POSTPONED

The 2005 season-opener, scheduled for this Sunday, has been postponed to Sunday, January 30, due to predicted inclement weather.

According to Rockingham Dragway owner Steve Earwood, "although I seldom believe our weather forecasts, it appears we are definitely in for some rather harsh weather on Sunday. The predicted high is 31 with wind gusts at 41 mph. Even in the tower that calls for a miserable day".

Gates will open on January 30 at noon, time runs for all vehicles will be run from 1pm
to 5. Admission is $10 for adults, under 12 years free, $15 for car and driver to run.

"We sat here all of December and most of January in 70 degree weather fussing because we weren't racing, now we schedule an event and Jack Frost shows up", Earwood concluded.

Although, my turbo is grounded for now... the brake relays are out; however, I just replaced my tranny in my other 3.8 bird! Yes, it's still all stock :-p

One day, I'll do well, I promise! Until then, I don't mind bein' last

¿What's happenin' fellas?

What's that about southerners not knowin' how to drive? Yeah, I believe it. I lived in NYC plenty of times with snow... no one knows how to drive or plow in it down here.
