sorry guys should have been clearer, and yes i did mean I can smell gas after i fill up, but not right after rather the next morning.

i smell gas

i smell gas when i fill up could this be a serious problem?

wow, can you make the question have a little more detail?
Cause I smell gas too when I fill up......it comes out of the nozzle from the pump.

Ummm, yeah. That's normal. The vapors do travel. However, more detail about when and where you smell gasoline would shed some light on the situation. Not trying to be a nag, just trying to better understand your situation.

I'm going to turn on my psychic powers for a moment to divine that you mean after you fill up the car you smell gas inside for a few minutes.

If this is the case, I would check the tank to make sure it isn't leaking, and the filler neck to be sure it isn't being stopped by something. I found the silver inner seal from a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in mine, and it was causing the pump to just click off every few seconds at certain filling stations.
