E15 and You

I doubt anyone on here will be ignorant enough to use this in their older cars and lawnmowers*, etc. but it cant hurt to remind folks.

Automakers to void warranties on older cars burning E15 gas

* Need I mention Weed Eaters and chainsaws

I learn more about cars every day!
I do it just because I still want to know HOW and WHY!!! Quit learning=die. Be informed as to WHAT, rather than learn,=brain-dead already.

e10 dries out gaskets and causes corision on alluminum and absorbs water out of the air and corodes fuel systems from the inside out.

My 95 cougar has been running e85 since nov. 2008, no issues with any fuel system parts. Only mods. to the fuel system is fuel pump and injectors.
Blown 96 please don't give bad information for our vehicles.
Vehicles built since 1990 are able to use fuel with added ethanol.
Methanol is the corrosive alcohol, not ethanol.

I am talking about gaskets on my drop hoses and gaskets in carbureators like on lawn mowers, and any carbureated engine. It really dose pull moisture from the are and can carode your fuel system.

E10 in an open gas can absorbes as much moisture as e-0.
Ethanol does not corrode aluminum engine parts.
Ethanol does break down fiberglass fuel tanks in older boats.
My side job was a lawn business when I was working on the fire department.. Never had a fuel related issue with the equipment.
New rubber hoses and components are made for using alcohol enhanced fuels.
E-15 won't be around for a while.
