cold air intake question

So I have a cold air intake a spare one from my mustang.

I tried to put it on my cougar it seams like it will not work.

it is a sr performance intake it seems like it is to long and will not fit into the normal intake hole.

what type can I use so I can get a bigger throttle body for it?

the throttle body I am looking at is the bbk 80 mm throttle body.

I don't think the stock intake tube can fit when I get that throttle body.

what type do you guys think on me getting to match up with that throttle body.

yes I am going to get a tuner to tune it but I want to get every thing before I tune it.

thanks for the input

Use the 99-04 GT intake tube and box along with the 02-04 GT MAF if you're dead-set on an 80mm MAF.

Don't expect any performance increases though - either through this or a larger TB/plenum. The tune will be the performance boost here. Ditch the TB/plenum idea and put that money towards heads, intake, headers, exhaust...

Do you still have the original intake manifold on the car? If so, you're wasting your time until you upgrade to a PI intake manifold.
