Car Is Slow

So I have an Allen S/C with a tune From La Sota. Before the tune the car ran 15.2 which I figured the tune would help a lot. However, last night I ran the car and it only ran a 15.0 and 92mph. My question is, is it has true duals from the guy I bought it from could I be losing power from not having an X or H pipe in there? Or is something else going on?

So it IMPROVED by two tenths and you think you're losing power? I don't follow?

15.0 @ 92 is an ET that can be very easily achieved naturally aspirated, so something would appear to be awry with the supercharger. The lack of exhaust crossover leaves a minimal amount of power on the table, not enough to make the difference between a mid 13-14 second car Allen SC cars usually seem to be and a 15 second car.

I'm having the same problem. I drove my 94 SC the other day and it feels EXTREMELY slow. Pretty sure I need to re-calibrate my butt-dyno.

First things first, other than the supercharger, what else do you have installed on the car?

Stock 4R70W? Stock torque converter? Stock 3.08:1 rear gearing? Stock tire size?

What other engine mods do you have? Stock heads/cams?

The SC should be building more power, but if you're running stock gearing, that can reduce your acceleration. Have you been on a dyno? I know on my LaSota tune, a dyno run is the final stage.

That time seems VERY slow..my npi 97 with just minor boltons ran the 14 and my buddies stock 98 m8 LSC ran the 15..
I would check the plugs if they are a range colder or what, vacuum leaks fuel type used???
Does it seem quicker when it's 1st started,if so heat soak and spark retard could be an issue..
Possibly the t.c not locking????

The car is stock besides the S/C the car feels like it has no torque. It will barely spin the tires but once around 2500 3000 rpms it picks up and goes. Could my timing be off for the low end? Also no the car has never been on the dyno.

Time slip btw

Probably not enough to cause that much of a power loss. You sure you don't have anything else aftermarket ? High stall torque converter ?

Sounds like he doesn't have a high stall converter, which would help dramatically. But the MPH should be much higher than 92 MPH, even with the stock converter, which might as well be filled with concrete for the performance it gives.

Definitely richer. Something in the neighborhood of 11.0-11.5 is a good starting point for WOT with forced induction. Even dipping in the 10's is not bad.

14.64 is good for idle and cruise only. If you see anything leaner than 12.5 at WOT, let off immediately.
