Replacing cruise control buttons

Hey guys does this airbag just pop off so I can get to the buttons and detach my cruise control to switch it out?

Yes, there are two bolts on the sides to remove it.

Be really careful, as you don't want it to blow in your hands or face.

Unplug it, and set it aside; there's a shorting bar in the connector that makes it safer when unplugged.

If you're replacing them because the airbag blew, you also will want to replace the "Tray" it bolts to, as it will be distorted, and will make the horn blow.

Disconnect battery before removing the airbag. Let the car sit with battery disconnected and light switch on to discharge the entire electrical system to make sure nothing to set the bag off.
