stupid question

i'm pretty sure i already know the answer. i'm gonna be changing my plugs and wires soon. i'm going with motorcraft wires, as the carquest ones i have suck. for plugs, i was gonna go with awsf32c's, but they have been updated to agsf32c. this won't be a problem, right? i looked at them. the only difference is that the agsf thread all the way up. i plan on getting a 180* tstat installed as well. what year mark viii use the 180* thermostat? i have 2 numbers to choose from: f3ly8575a(93-96), or f5oy8575a(97-98). thanks.

Jon,

The 180 I got from Dan is XL3Z-8575-AA. Not sure about the plugs. I installed a similar set in the Escort and had no problems. I thought you were a parts man!? J/K!

Joe

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

The plugs will be no problem, I run Autolite 103's and the threads go all the way up on those as well.

yeah, that's the part number i come up with too. what system do you use at your dealership? i use MICROCAT. it sucks a**. i don't have any cooling catalogs to list part numbers. maybe i'll just have to go to autozone, find out what number i need, and then grab a 180 instead of 197.

Jon,

I would think all the t-stats for the 3.8 would be all the same, I wonder why they list different ones.
