Exclamation Car Dies during acceleration after stoplights? What could it be?

Like I said I'll be at a stoplight and then during acceleration my car dies completely. It happens at low RPM. The car has 88,000 and I believe it has the original spark plugs and fuel injectors. Any suggestions where to start?

The first thing I'd check is the fuel filter.

Here's some additional thoughts, and a flow chart from the 1996 PC/ED (Powertrain Control/Emission Dignosis) Manual. This chart will assist you in where to look (or at least start to look!). Check the vacuum lines, as some are joined with rubber parts that deteriorate and split open. Try a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor cleaning. It may be time for new plugs and wires, as well as a new fuel filter (as johnaec suggests).

Good luck to you, and welcome to the forums.

Edit corrected typographical error...
