4.6L 3v mod engine

what would be all the work needed to throw the new 3v 4.6L engines that the new stangers have into a birdy...i heard that they have a 300HP rating and that would be a good project...

A lot. Computer, wiring harness, fuel system, EGR delete (the 3v doesn't use it)...you may have trouble with that intake manifold as it has the TB inlet in a place that I imagine would be very inconvienent on an MN12....

i guess the better choises are the explorer...aviatior or gt engines...i was just wondering

Aviator motor = Marauder motor. Good HP and TQ on that motor. Now that I would like to see in an MN12.

i drove a aviator...and a mountaneer which has the same v8 as the explorer...why did it seem like the aviator was slower...doesnt it have higher HP than the x?

Well...the Aviator should have been faster...I don't know why it wouldn't have been.

I can imagine that the Aviator weighs more and it is possible that the Explorer was geared lower...but oh well...
