Question on rear o2 sensors

I no longer have cats and I will hopefully have new downtubes made tomorrow and I already have a chip that turns off the rear o2s. I know I will need bungs welded in for the front o2 sensors, but do I need bungs for the rear o2s? Can I just leave them unplugged since they are turned off by the chip or do they need to be plugged in for some reason?
