stupid and easy question

will i gain some mpg back by putting in new o2 sensors? mine currently have 111k miles on them, so i am sure they are pretty nasty. i recently checked my mpg, and for the last tank, i averaged 16-17 mpg combined both highway and city.

Every car I have had that had 100K or more miles on them have benefited from new O2's

That goes for 4 cyl, 6 cyl, or V8's.

I usually pick up about 1 to 1.5 mpg with new O2's (on a V8).

I have heard that around 60K miles O2's start to "get weak" and should be replaced.

But that's just my experience.
