Anyone ever ship an engine?

What company did you use? Where did you get it weighed? Packaged? What other info do I need?

Thanks.

I used Central Transport. Weighed it at the dock. With engine, pallet, bracing, and box, it weighed 600lbs. They'll need to look up the Class (85 IIRC) obviously where it is is going, but it's important as to where specifically it's going. It'll cost $100+ less if they have a dock instead of needing a lift gate.

I shipped it from dock to dock (no pickup or delivery) Montpelier VT to Burney CA for $550. Both are "in the sticks" so it took about 1 week.

I buy my OEM Ford parts at 10% over dealer cost from Steve in White Bear Lake, MN.

greenleaf freighted my 02 engine to a non-residential address w/o liftgate for $250 and only took like 2 days to get from illinois to louisiana.

they said the pallet weight was 350lbs.
