opinions on order of mods

just looking for opinions on what order modifications should be made. I.E. exhaust then MAF etc. etc

Depends...

on what your goal is...300hp? 300rwhp?

J-modding the tranny is first no matter what your plan. If you plan on a high HP motor, better do the entire "bullet-proofing". See the tech articles.

my apologies...I have 90 SC w/ manual tranny....I would like to get up to 300 hp in what order would u attempt this

You can't do the J-mod. But I still suggest the transmission to be the first mod. A shift kit from B&M or TransGo.

heres my list for the SC I'm looking @

sorry man shift kit from B&M won't work.
I'm a V8 guy but airflow rules.
#1 K&N with removed silencer plus a new clutch and good bill of health on your tranny and rearend as well as suspension/bushings
#2 Uncork that exhaust you may want to keep the duals but honestly a single 3" will flow better through the midrange and reduce the drone and rasp most V6's have.
Choose a good muffler one that won't rust. Stay away from any Flowmaster if you live where they salt the roads and Dynomax SuperTurbos (too quiet) I like Ravins on my V8 but you may look to the Ricers for a good sounding Muffler (Remus comes to mind they make parts for BMW 6's spendy though like $200+ each)
#3 larger TB and MAF
#4 have the SC gone through and replace all the bearings and be sure the rotors are in spec.
#5 Raised top and uprated intercooler(Sparco comes to mind maybe the boyz @ SCCOA.com could reccommend a better one
you should be close if not have a pretty good tune dropped on the car to fix fuel and spark timing holes.
If you're going much further rebuild the engine with REALLY GOOD(and $$$) parts.

Seeing as you have a 90 sc, we have the crappy exhaust with no chance of duals. Get some nice 2.25 inch downtubes made going into a dual in 2.5" resonator, 3" out that then slits out into dual 2.5" again going into your mufflers of choice.

Now that your exhaust is covered, throw in an upgraded fuel pump (190lph for $83, or 255 for $90). Next, an upgraded MAF. ($30 from 91+, $110 for 73mm, or $140 for 76mm). After that, throttle body (prolly just a 70mm). Finish off the intake with a zr or mac cai for around $170.

Now that the intake, exhaust, and fuel pump is done, throw on a 10% sc overdrive pulley for $60, then a raised sc top ($200) and intercooler fan ($60). Underdrive pulleys are next at $150.

You should easily be at 300hp by now at the crank, but if you want to keep going, get a 180 degree tstat ($6), larger injectors (38#'s for $290), port/polish heads ($400), a jerry chip/tune, and maybe some headers.

If ya really want to get frisky, send off your blower to get it ported
