KN oiling

I received my used KN filter today. I just cleaned my MAF yesterday and Im not too interested in doin it again (only took 5 mins after I got the tamper proof bits.) The filter looks grossely over oiled to me. I cant "recharge" it because I dont have a kit and I dont have money for one right now. Should I just put it in the car over oiled? I guess what Im asking is will the oil have any effect on the MAF that cant be fixed with another cleaning?

nahh, a good cleaning will fix the maf. I actually just cleaned my maf two days ago because i re-oiled my K&N two weeks ago. I was getting about 2 mpg's worse on the highway or more because of the oil. I just cleaned it and it's all back to normal. I can actually see the difference in my Air/Fuel ratio gauge when it was covered in oil.

later,
