electrical problems!!!!!!!!

hey guys, need help with my gas guage and battery guage. It reads all the way past full to as far as the needle can go ( gas) and it reads 0 on the volt guage. I have replaced this guage and it did not fix the problem, I have replaced the fuel pump, and sending unit from the tank and it did not fix the problem. I am not electrically inclined and hoping you guys can help. Is there any quick easy way to diagnose the problem, and fix it? Can I check it without ripping my entire guage cluster out? The car runs fine and those are the only guages that dont work. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

P.S. it is a 91 cougar

Check your fuses....there is a run fuse that gave me a bunch of problems in my 94.....after that I would look into any interment shorts...like a bare wire or a light that is messed up....
