Drag slicks??

What size drag slicks should I orer for my old fan blade wheels?
I have heard of people loosing time at the track du to slicks being to
big or small.

94 LX 4.6
SC GFX , Suspension Techniques springs bilstein struts
R.P.C. tuning, 80mm mMAF
2 steps colder plugs, 9 mm wires 180 stat1 piece alum. driveshaft, 3.73 gears
2.5 inch Xpipe no 3rd cat , no mufflers
PI Stallion 9 inch 3k stall converter
March underdrive pullies
Zex dry Nitrous kit 75 hp for now

I have.....

I think they are 245-50-16s on my sport rims.I am not sure but i think that is close to what Johnny Langton wrote.
You could go with like a 245-50 or a 295-50.I think they make drag slicks in that size.

You're thinking of drag radials...Drag slicks are another animal..

They work great,but it was mid-high 14's all weekend....too hot,humid,and too little barometer,and Ennis is 500 ft above Sea Level.

Yeah, I've got a video of Johnny running a 14.753 at FFW. I'll email it to you if you want Johnny. I tried to introduce myself to you there, but couldn't get your attention for the life of me.

Sorry dude..It was a busy weekend.I had the little grill going between rounds to keep my wife and her friend fed,as well as myself, the trips out the the store,keeping the generator fueled up for the A/C in the camper,etc....
