Plan of Attack, what to get?

OK, I was thinking about making a real plan of attack for my bird.

It has 130,xxx miles on it now. Tranny is slippen.

I need idea's for upgrading the car, or should I just get a different car?
I want to upgrade my car and get a older muscle car.

I have Cold Air Intake, K&N, and Clear Corners.

Car runs store and is very very fast as stock, for some reason it kicks the **** out of my friends 5.0 Bird that is souped up. Nothing to speical to my car ive beaten alot with a bum tranny.

Things I was thinking about doing:
17in Cobra's
Cobra Hood
Paintjob
Fix ****ing tranny

Any other upgrades I can do to the engine w/o swapping I am up for, no Super Chargers. To damn much money. any ideas?

1996 Thunderbird 4.6 -Sold-
259.4 hp and 285.3 tq on mustang dyno
Bunch of motorcycles
2004 F150

Plan of attack

Except fo addressing the tranny, nothing you suggest will make an ounce of difference in performance to your Bird.

Rather than spend the money on that superfluous stuff, I would save the coin and buy the muscle car of my dreams.

Well, there's a number of things you can do to make your car faster if thats what you're asking:
Exhaust
U/D pulleys
Bigger MAF
Chip

As far as upgrading your car or getting another one is up to you. You have to understand that when modding a MN12, you will lose about every penny you put into it with mods when you go to sell the car. If thats fine with you, as it is with me, then go ahead and start on it. If your car is pretty beat all around, you can find a ~50K mile '96-97 Sport for as low a $6000 if you look hard enough. Its hard to give advice on this subject as only you can make this decision.

Im doing *** this on or before March 11th where I will inherit the car.
Mark 8 TC
80MM MAF
RM intake
Chip
Possibly 3.73s but doubtful
Exaust (real duals all the way out. X pipe)
Tranny cooler
Jmod.

I figure most of this (without the 3.73s) will cost me about $2000 or less. Of course I dont even know if the damn car will run till March. Were in the same boat, I got 132,000 on mine.
