Gas tanks

Which year did they change 93 up or 92 up?

95 SC 5-speed The Toy in Storage now.
95 SC Auto Newest storage queen.

they put the new tank under the car in 92.

I was told the 92's had baffle problems. Anyone else seen that?

what was the problems with the baffles? I have a 92 sport with the original tank...no problem accept one fuel pump failure (hey...it's a ford).

hey tony...that's a nice website you've compiled. I threw a link to your page off of my page.

That's one heck of a compilation of pictures too...i got a nice surprise when I visited page 10 of the "custom" pictures section. Can you take out the picture of my car from the rear side though? I hate that picture with a passion...this one...

OHH GOD SOMEONE KILL IT! OHH IT'S HIDEOUS!

Sorry, I just seriously hate that picture of my car.

wow, well that may have been someone's personal experience...but i don't have any loose baffles yet. I'm really fairly sure that the tanks did not change from 92-97, but I have only been able to look at the insde of mine and not a newer thunderbird so they could be different.

i have a chance to get a 92 for my 89 and I really do not want to do it over.

i don't know. I have plenty of friends with 92 birds and no one that i know of has had a problem with the tank. I say, if the tank looks fine inside and the price is right, go for it.
