how to remove steering wheel adjust lever?

I need to remove it to get to my Multi function but for the life of me I can't get it out! does it unscrew or what?

Its been a while since I did it, but , It unscrews .. I couldnt get a purchase on the dang thang, so I got mad, used a Vise-grip ,Took it off , galled heck out of it and hadda smooth out with a mill file and repaint ...a real PITA ... LOL

that's what I figured I guess I'm gonna have to chew mineup some also.

There is a flat on it to use an open end wrench... Factory locktites it in there.

Yes, and I wish I could get some of dat factory loctite, as nothing will ever come loose with that stuff!!! LOL

yes, there is a notch on it........that i didn't see 'till later. lol....... i did w/ the others did and just took some pliers/vise grips to it.......but mine came out ok.......just use a towel or something in between the tool and the lever.

no need

you don't need to take the lever out. all i did to get the mfs out was to take the bottom cover off the steering column and wiggle it out. then use a screw driver and needle nose pilers to get the clips of the leads off and your home free.
Note: lift the top cover up as high as possible to have more work space.

when i get home from school i'll take a look at my ford cd to see if there are instructions along with a picture on how to remove the lever.
