Also check that you completely reconnected the vacuum hose that connects midway up the intake hose....

Well, before buying a new MAF and even before resetting the
computer - do the following:

I know this is really basic stuff, but we've all been there
and had to go through this kind of list many times:

Go out and carefully examine everything you touched,
(air tubes, MAF, clamps, connector, airbox, filter,
etc, etc,). Is EVERYTHING exactly back the way it was
before you cleaned your MAF. Is everything lined up,
oriented, seated, snugged down, hooked up (Mechanically
and electrically EXACTLY as it was before)? Is the MAF
rotated even the least bit. Check for air leaks in front
of, around, and behind the MAF. Is the connector seated
correctly?

After checking all your work out, then reset the computer.
If you still have a rough idle, drive the car for a cople
of days (if it's not too bad) and see if you throw a code).
Odds are it may not, but it's worth a try....

Good luck and let us know how it turns out....

The quickest way is pull the #15 fuse and start the car
(it won't). Put the fuse back in and you're set to reset..

Hope this helps,

What did you clean the maf wires with? Did you damage one of the maf wires?

Might want to go back in there with some electronics cleaner and spray it on, then use some canned air to blow off the moisture.

Did you plug the maf back in all the way?

Thanks,
Justin

what i did was...

well i cleaned the maf with this electric parts cleaner, comes in a spray bottle, i noticed that the cleaner shoots out pretty fast though, especially with that red spout in the nozzle, i dont know if the pressure was too much.. then basically i let it dry an i put it back together, but its had time to dry cuz this is days later an still rough idle.. ill take it out again, look at it with magnifying glass
