Well, before buying a new MAF and even before resetting the
computer - do the following:
I know this is really basic stuff, but we've all been there
and had to go through this kind of list many times:
Go out and carefully examine everything you touched,
(air tubes, MAF, clamps, connector, airbox, filter,
etc, etc,). Is EVERYTHING exactly back the way it was
before you cleaned your MAF. Is everything lined up,
oriented, seated, snugged down, hooked up (Mechanically
and electrically EXACTLY as it was before)? Is the MAF
rotated even the least bit. Check for air leaks in front
of, around, and behind the MAF. Is the connector seated
correctly?
After checking all your work out, then reset the computer.
If you still have a rough idle, drive the car for a cople
of days (if it's not too bad) and see if you throw a code).
Odds are it may not, but it's worth a try....
Good luck and let us know how it turns out....
