Question Intake manifold question.

I am using a 1995 4.6 in my truck and I have an aluminum intake factory installed. My question is, does all 1995 T-bird engines have alum intakes and other 4.6 1995engines have plastic intakes? Just curious because of all the problems I hear about the plastic intakes.

I believe the plastic intakes started in 1997 on the 4.6's

The plastic (composite) intake started in 1996. All 94/95 cars had the all aluminum intake.

Yes, the original plastic intakes had issues but not the replacement plastic intakes with aluminum crossover.

the plastic intakes make power at lower revs and the aluminum ones made it slightly higher acording to the original ford ratings. The truck intakes are aluminum also but with a plastic plenum chamber.
