Only Charging above 2500rpms 94

The car is stock 150,000mi. I changed the voltage regulator with no success. Where should I look? At exactly 2500rpm the car gets up to full power and all the lights brighten, otherwise the battery light is on and the voltage is about 10. i tested the battery voltage at 12.5v last week but im gonna go check it again. the horn honks real loud and the headlights are bright, the car cranks fine (only cause i turned it off immediatly after seeing the battery light and charged the battery at home after (it was at 11.8v after driving 1/2hr with the battery light intermittantly on and off). Any tips. Yes, ive searched. thank you.

definitely a rectifier diode.

Sometimes you can buy a alternator rebuild kit that comes with the rectifier, bearings and brushes.
