transmisson

i have ask this once before but i need to ask agian. my tranny is shutering in overdrive only it seems. i think it is the tourqe converter but my dad thinks its the transmission slipping

There are things you can do to see if it's your TC. While driving when it starts to shutter, hit your brakes, if it stops it's your TC. Maybe? I can't remember where I read that. Anyway, try searching around a bit.

ps- transmission problems go in the transmission forum. engine problems go in the engine forum.

It is the TC, that's what causes the shudder in these cars. You can try draining the fluid and refilling with Mercon V but that's it. It might be too far gone.
