2009 police interceptor

There is a 4.6 out of a police interceptor for sale nearby me. Would this fit right in my 1994 xr7?

Didn't they still get the 2v in 2009? Should be plug and play

I dont see why not. I run an 06 CVPI motor. It's a 2v 4.6 motor, easy as pie to swap.

I love my V8, but I'd love it more if all 8 cylinders worked. (they do now)

Of course, the recipient being a 94 it will need a few more things. In which case I echo this sentiment...

Me too; a 96 or 97 makes it a much easier swap.

To the op:

You'll need everything for a pi swap for the car, plus the stuff you need for an engine swap.

And, putting a new pi engine in front of a 94/95 transmission, you will need a transmission soon, so look up that swap.

A broken motor mount can cause a stuck throttle, solid mounts are good.

The driveshaft, if original, will rapidly toast your new transmission, if you don't swap it.

Anything else I should mention?
