oil filter mount/lower radiator hose inlet

aka who put that rivet there.

freshly purchased 96 cougar, and that gasket gave out after about 2 weeks, not a problem really except that the lower radiator hose is...unwilling to be removed easily.

So I figured I could get a little more arm space by removing the coolant reservoir and shifting the power distribution box. the coolant reservoir came out easily (one bolt...supposed to be two...) as for the power distribution box...well there were two rivets and a bolt holding it on. Why couldn't they just use bolts, I mean, seriously, why rivets and bolts, why not just rivets?

the rivets didn't last very long...

With the read hoses I just find something little to wedge into the lip of the hose and slowly work it around until it breaks the bond it makes over time,then wiggles on off.

Talking about the fuse box under the hood? There’s two nuts (think 10mm) on the other side behind the wheel liner......
