Time for a head swap!

So turns out my valve seals are shot on my svo bird.. so I was looking into the trickflow 44cc heads and a set of comp XE268H cams. Would this be a good combo? My full build specs are in my signature. Thanks!

Oh hell yea! That's the same setup that I ran 11.5 at ~117 mph with on E85.

You'll want to switch to the 42 lb injectors and have the car tuned. Also to go E85 you'll need a higher capacity fuel pressure regulator.

RobertP can talk you through it.

Didn't you have to go to E85 due to pump gas not cutting it?

This would be a nice compression bump, and those cams would rock.

The book I have of various builds mentions wishing TF made a 4.6l head; it was from 2006.

93 pump gas will work fine with a stock bottom end and 44cc TF heads. The compression ratio is around 9.5:1

My problem was with my new engine having a 11.5:1 CR.

It doesn't like 93 Pump gas.

Awesome! I was hoping I’d be able to stick with the 93 octane, I don’t mind stepping up injectors, but I just replace all fuel system components and didn’t want to do it again. Also trunk monkey do you remember the hp & tq your car made on the old set up?
