steering of 4.6s

my buddy has a sport......and i have an lx.........our rack and pinnions look somewhat diffrent.......doesnt look much diffrent........but hes steerings is miles away from mine in stiffness and road feel.......its night and day......does anyone know if they are the same racks or diffrent ones?

dunno about the racks, but don't forget to take into account the difference in the sport and lx's suspension setup. The sport has better rubber and spring rates. Also, shorter rubber makes for a faster turn-in response.

oh, and why is this in the engine forum?
