Crank pulley

I just got my steeda pulleys yesterday but don't we need a special pulley puller for the crank pulley. i'm not sure about it but i could have sworn that i heard that u need a puller to get the pulley off the crank on the 4.6 motors. how hard is it to get off? thanx for the info.

Yes, you need a puller for it. And it isn't hard to do at all.

would i be able to get a puller at one of the local shops or would i have to order one? plus about how much do u think they run money wise? thanks.

You should be able to get one at your local parts store for around $15.

97 LX sport 4.6
T-45 5 speed, 3.73 with track lock; PI heads, 02 MAF, #24 injectors,190 fuel pump,JBAs, 75mm TB. ect,ect.; Aluminium drive shaft. 13" PBR Brakes; Dennis chip, lowered with solid sway bar bushings and hiem joints; console mounted E brake WITH the cup holders; C&l Plenum, Steeda U/D; VERY big radiator; 2.5" duals, Magnaflows;B&M ripper shifter; bla..bla...bla...

Lincoln MKVIII 93.........sweet ride.
Bag-less, lowered.

Hint: when you change that harmonic balancer/pulley , take a few extra minutes and remove fan and shroud unit to give yourself that little extra room. you'll be glad you did....
