Well time to fix sick bird

Allright its time i started to get to work on my very sick Bird. I have a 95 4.6. I just made a drive with it and it fealt real sluggish but no lights. And on that same drive i drove over a branch and ripped my MLPS wire out. Now i just got around to plugging that back in. As soon as i did the cheek engine light comes on. ALso since then my car is undrivable. It start and kinda idle ruff. and wount rev past maybe 1500 2000. What could be the problem? keep in mind i can really afford to have it towed and get the cheek engine light code read. So any ideas?

Teh smell of gas is cause there fuel that is not being burned. It's running rich, in other words. I don't know why, but I would suspect maybe the EEC is damaged and is hanging a fuel injector open.
